Our commitment
Hookwise is committed to making our fishing tools, knowledge, and community easier for as many people as possible to use. We treat accessibility as an ongoing product responsibility and welcome specific feedback when something makes a task harder.
Our accessibility goal
We aim toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, or WCAG, 2.1 Level AA. This goal guides our improvements while the site continues to change. Hookwise may still have areas that need work, and we do not describe the site as certified or fully compliant.
Current accessibility features
Phase 1 focused on the shared navigation, controls, forms, focus behavior, touch targets, contrast, and reduced-motion support. The work completed so far includes:
- Keyboard navigation across the primary site controls and common interactive flows.
- A skip link that lets keyboard users move directly to the page content.
- Visible focus indicators so the active link, button, or form control is easier to find.
- Semantic landmarks and page structure that give assistive technology clearer ways to move around.
- Accessible labels and names for controls, menus, account actions, and forms.
- Targeted contrast improvements for text, controls, and important interface states.
- Larger touch targets for key controls, especially on smaller screens.
- Reduced-motion support for people who prefer fewer animations and transitions.
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility work continues as we add content, tools, and community features. We will keep reviewing common journeys, refining labels and focus behavior, and addressing issues that visitors report. We also plan to improve captions and transcripts for video content as that content is added or when a particular video needs another way to access its information. Availability can vary by video.
Third-party content
Hookwise may link to or include services, content, or tools provided by other companies. Those experiences are managed by their providers and may follow different accessibility practices. If third-party content creates a barrier while you are using Hookwise, please tell us so we can help identify the right next step.

Please share the page address, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. If you know the browser, device, or assistive technology involved, that context can help us investigate, but it is optional.
Response-time goal
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days. This is a response goal, not a guarantee. We will use the details you provide to understand the issue and decide what action is appropriate.
Alternative access
If a page or feature blocks you from getting information or completing a task, contact us at hello@hookwisehq.com. We will work with you to identify another way to access the information or complete the task when possible.
